Every wedding Dekaios Designs is asked to be a part of is such a blessing! Thank you so much for considering us any time!
Last weekend was Kristen and Mitch’s wedding. This wedding was especially fun for me because in July I was given the opportunity to do a wine and canvas bachelorette with Kristen and her bridesmaids. We got to hang out and have fun in July so on the day of the wedding the bridesmaids were already my friends. I loved that!
The wedding ceremony was at the Village Gardens in Plover, literally across the street from their house. Stephanie went over to meet the guys at the house for a few photos and I went to the Village Gardens with the girls.
Mitch had written Kristen and love letter, once she was ready she took a minute alone to read it. I just peaked around the corner.
Mitch and Kristen choose to do a first look. This was a bit challenging at the Village Gardens since there were a lot of people outside, but we just shielded Kristen and took her over to the arbor where Mitch was waiting. She just walked up behind him and grabbed his hand. He turned around and they just smiled and took in the moment! Mitch shared that he felt so much more calm having seen her. I am sure for both of them it felt much more like they were doing this day together.
Just before the ceremony was about to start Kristen went back to the dressing room and we got a few fun shots.
And then it was time!
This ceremony wasn’t just for Kristen and Mitch uniting. It was also for Kristen’s kids. You could tell all day they were so excited to marry Mitch with their mom. After Kristen and Mitch shared their vows they had the kids come up, they were given gifts and they all just held each other. There were tears of happiness, it was so cool.
Following the ceremony things were made official on the back roads over the hood of the officiant’s pick up.
There was a receiving line with much congratulations ordered, followed by family photos, and then my favorite part of the day, wedding party photos and couple photos :-)
From there we headed over to the Sky Club for dinner and the reception.
As you can see, everyone had a great time! Thanks for reading. -Rosalind
